At Five Star Women of Color, our mission is to provide women of color with the knowledge, education, and resources they need to grow into their fullest potential. Through workshops and events, we support women on their journey to becoming sophisticated, cultured individuals who own property, prioritize their health, and achieve financial security. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to enhance your skills, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

What are the Five Stars?

Homeowership

Understanding the benefits and the process of purchasing a home. Whether it's for living in or for investment purposes.

Attractive Appearance

Attractive Appearance is a reflection of what is going on internally & externally. Valuing the importance of taking care of self and knowing how to show up in spaces. It's important to have self-care (skin care & hair care) but also to take care of the mental & emotional.

Education

Investment in education whether it's a degree from college or a certification. Understanding the importance of adding to your knowledge base.

Sophistication/Culture

Exposure to different cultures and settings that develop a level of sophistication. Refinement and well versed on social and economic topics.

Financial Stability

The state of being financially secure and not living paycheck to paycheck. Has savings and money resources that give financial stability.

Our goal is "To Empower Women of Color from Within" by giving them the tools and confidence to navigate their professional and personal journeys successfully. We provide an uplifting platform that encourages personal growth, community-building, and leadership development. We address key topics that fall under one or many of the Five Stars which are listed below.

A cocktail soirée honoring leading women who exemplify the five pillars. A night of inspiration, recognition, and connection as we honor 5 phenomenal women for their outstanding work and discuss the power of our voices and votes

The Annual Baltimore County Afro Soul Festival is a fusion of African culture, Caribbean culture, and African American culture. The FREE Afro Soul Festival celebrates culture through food, music, and dance.
